With over 300,000 inhabitants, Lichtenberg is home to one of the largest employers in the district, with around 2,200 employees.

The Lichtenberg District Office of Berlin, Department for Regionalized Regulatory Tasks, Animal Capture Department is currently seeking a dedicated

Animal Capture Clerk (m/f/d)

Starting immediately, permanent position, full-time with 39.40 hours per week (part-time employment is possible upon request).


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing fee and cost transactions
  • Recording income, expenses, and changes in ProFiskal
  • Issuing fee and cost notices for the transport and/or housing of animals
  • Preparing waivers, exemptions, deferrals, and installment payments
  • Investigating and clarifying facts to determine fee and cost liability
  • Handling and monitoring the collection, enforcement, and installment payment procedures, including inquiries for locating individuals
  • Maintaining budget monitoring records for the dog and cat capture department
