What You'll Do:


Program Portfolio Management and Implementation:

This position is responsible for the overall organization, implementation, and operational success of a portfolio of non-faculty-led study abroad programs, including:

  • Serves as liaison and partner to international and domestic universities and third-party study abroad providers associated with program portfolio. Maintains strong relationships with partner institutions and providers within portfolio. Regularly communicates with partner institutions and providers to maintain key program details, including academics, drafting and maintaining program pricing and budget, facilitating contracts, confirming program logistics, etc.
  • Leads registration process and course information for all students in portfolio programs, including articulations, activations, registrations, and grades.
  • Monitors health and safety of students abroad in portfolio programs and enacts emergency procedures, when necessary.

General Study Abroad Student Advising:

This position provides outstanding advising services to a diverse population of students and actively participates and shares in the team's advising responsibilities, including:

  • Delivers high quality advising, including considerations for underrepresented students, that addresses the general purpose and mechanics of study abroad, locations and program types, provides program-specific guidance based on academic and curricular fit, as well as, financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Conducts individual advising appointments and walk-in advising.
  • Develops, implements, and assesses orientation and reentry support for students participating in all nonfaculty led programs.
  • Regularly consults and collaborates with academic departments, academic advisors, and student support groups (Financial Aid, Center for Students with Disabilities, Career Center, Office of Multicultural Student Support, etc.) to ensure student access to, awareness of, and support in the process of study abroad to all student populations.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of experience in an administrative position in higher education
  • Three years of experience working in education abroad preferred
  • Ability to work with international partners and on campus stakeholders
  • Preferred: Foreign language proficiency
  • International work or living experience
  • Terra Dotta, People Soft, Adobe, Canva Occasional duties on weekends or evenings.
