Weekly Hours: 50% of the regular weekly working hours. There is a possibility of temporarily increasing the working hours up to 100% of the regular weekly working hours.


Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a research assistant primarily include scientific services in research and teaching.

There is an opportunity for scientific further education, especially for the completion of a dissertation; at least one third of the respective working time is available for this purpose.

Area of Responsibility:

Collaboration in one of the mathematical research areas of Pure Mathematics (Algebraic, Geometric and Discrete Structures) or in the field of Mathematical Statistics and Stochastic Processes.

Participation in teaching tasks of the Department of Mathematics with 2 LVS including basic teaching in mathematical degree programs, courses for programs in other disciplines, and teaching in teacher training programs; the courses are mainly taught in German.

Qualifications:

Completion of a university degree appropriate for the tasks.

We require German language skills at least at a C1 level.
