Description

Merrimac is seeking a Frontend React Engineer for a 6-month contract in Dusseldorf. This position may be remote, but travel within Germany may be required. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement user interface components using React concepts and workflows such as Redux, Flux, and Webpack.
Write clean, efficient, and sustainable code that can be used in the future.
Monitor and improve frontend performance.
Utilize browserbased debugging and performance testing software.
Familiarity with code versioning tools.
Proficiency in Test Driven Development (TDD) workflows.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of JavaScript and its different iterations (e.g. ES5, ES6).
Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
Thorough understanding of React and its core principles.
8 years of experience in frontend development.
Experience with browserbased debugging and performance testing software.
Familiarity with code versioning tools.
Proficiency working with Test Driven Development (TDD) workflows.
