Responsibilities:


Purchase Order and Transfer Coordination:


  • Direct the creation of purchase orders and transfers to maintain appropriate product levels.
  • Daily review and action on critical level inventory.
  • Monitor late PO's and Transfers and work to expedite their arrival.
  • Maintain fill rates of 98% while managing days and turns.
  • Notify supervisors of impactful vendor problems or holes in inventory.
  • Collaborate with management and sales staff on strategic sales goals, opportunity buys, promotions, and direct shipping.

Inventory Sourcing & Management:


  • Control inventory by returning defective or surplus inventory for replacement or credit.
  • Continually evaluate vendor rank, importance, and reliability.
  • Evaluate inventory to determine obsolete products or slow turnover items.
  • Search inventory records or warehouse to determine material availability.
  • Analyze markets to predict future supply chain disruptions and source vendors accordingly.

Sales and Project Management:


  • Foster new customer relationships and sales opportunities.
  • Identify marketspecific product needs and price points.
  • Provide accurate pricing quotes based on market intel.
  • Follow up with sales team on large customer quotes.
  • Promote PACE across all platforms and promote project sales.
  • Maintain regular communications with internal divisions for crossdivisional selling.

Account Billing & Resolution:


  • Request Return Material Authorization (RMA) from vendors for material returns.
  • Research and resolve shipping errors with the Receiving Department.
  • Resolve billing errors, terms of sale, and receiving errors with Accounts Payable.
  • Verify and ensure accuracy of vendor and standard cost with the Product File Team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of previous procurement experience.
  • Broad knowledge of the products being purchased.
  • Relationships or knowledge of assigned vendors.
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with vendors, customers, and other PACE departments.
  • Previous experience with inventory management.
  • Previous experience with accounting and inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong negotiation skills, including invoice pricing and project pricing.
  • Selfdirected and meticulous analytical person.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with previous experience using MIS, Microsoft, and Phocas.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 25 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a handtruck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
