Job Description

What to expect:

  • During the three-year apprenticeship, you will learn to manufacture high-quality office chairs and sofas by hand and with the help of machines.
  • You will become familiar with various upholstery materials such as foams, fabrics, or leather.
  • You will also produce custom cuts for furniture and sew covers from fabrics or leather.
  • Repairing old upholstered furniture is just as much a part of the training as covering and assembling upholstery elements.
  • The theoretical knowledge will be taught to you at the Friedrich-Weinbrenner Trade School in Freiburg in block lessons. During your time at the trade school, you will live in a dormitory.
