    Description


    The Quality Technician works closely with the Production team to ensure that our robots and accessories arrive in the field defect-free and fully functional.

    In addition, this person contributes to the continuous improvement of our products and processes by gathering and analyzing quality data and communicating constantly with stakeholders including Production, Materials and Engineering personnel.

    The goal is always to work together as a team to deliver the best possible products to our customers.
    ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute incoming inspection of custom mechanical, cosmetic, and OTS partsInspect in-process assemblies per documented checklists and with a critical eye for non-standard or non-conforming conditionsRun tests of completed robots and document test resultsRecord all discrepancies as NCR's and segregate & label materials in company systemsSupport and conduct pre-shipment inspections and final testsEstablish QA processes for new and non-standard assemblies, spare parts, kits, or processesMaintain accurate and complete recordsKeep work area, tools and materials clean and organizedContribute to Corrective and Preventive ActionsRequirementsTechnical Associate's degree or equivalent experience1+ year experience a Quality role within an operation that includes mechanical and electronics hardwareFamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Basic electronics measurement skills using multimeterComfortable with computer based documentation and record keeping, and with data collection, analysis and presentationAbility to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagramsExcellent attention to detail and personal organization and record keeping skillsNice to HavesFamiliarity with 5S and Lean conceptsExperience in an ISO9000 environmentExperience with cosmetic standards for painted surfaces$26 - $30 an hour
