Responsibilities:
Driving instructors teach the knowledge and skills necessary for operating a vehicle in traffic through theoretical and practical lessons. In theoretical lessons, they prepare their students for the theoretical driver's license exam.

Qualifications:
A driving instructor must have social competence to ensure that the student feels well supported. In addition, there are other requirements for the training of driving instructors that a potential instructor must meet.

These include:

Mental and physical fitness (can be proven through a comprehensive medical report)
Minimum age of 21 years
Minimum of three years of driving experience in the driver's license class B. For all other driver's license classes, two years of driving experience is sufficient to meet the requirements for driving instructor training.
Personal suitability (proven by presenting a certificate of good conduct)
Existing school leaving certificate
Completed vocational training or an equivalent qualification such as high school diploma or technical diploma

In addition, aspiring driving instructors must hold a driver's license for the class for which they want to obtain a driving instructor license.

Since the basic training for driving instructors includes driver's license classes B and BE, as an applicant, you usually need not only at least the class B driver's license, but also the class BE.
