As the German central specialist library for technology and natural sciences, we ensure with our forward-looking services the infrastructural requirements for a high-quality information and literature supply for research in science and industry. Our services as a university library ensure local supply for Leibniz University Hannover.

The Technical Information Library (TIB), Program Area B, User and Information Services, is looking for a Open-Source Software Engineer (m/f/d) for the Publication Services department starting on September 1, 2024.

The position is limited to 1 year with a weekly working time of 19.90 hours (50%); an increase in hours through participation in other projects will be considered if interested. The classification will be in salary group 11 TV-L, depending on personal qualifications.

You will work on the development and implementation of software solutions for our DSpace-based document servers as part of the BMBF-funded project "Added Value of Open Access for Data-Driven Research and Development". DSpace is used for the capture, publication, and permanent provision of digital resources.

Together with the project team and TIB colleagues, you will develop components in the backend and frontend. In addition, you will configure interfaces, perform updates, and make adjustments for the integration of components into local applications (especially ).
