This is your opportunity to work in our great and family-like team of 3 colleagues in Lometa, TX.

You will advise and support parents in dealing with parenting difficulties, assist children in their development, and help families overcome crisis situations.

You will provide intensive support for self-help to families on-site.

This is what your daily work will look like:

Our team supports families with minor children who are facing difficult situations and need your support.
You

assist in conflict and crisis situations by developing solutions.

support in securing financial situations, basic material needs, housing, household management, daily structure, and overcoming illnesses.

assist families in dealing with institutions and authorities and enable them to access social benefits for children and families.

prepare reports, identify needs, and participate in care planning meetings.

We expect the following from you:

You have a degree in social work, social pedagogy, or education.
You

have the ability and willingness to recognize and respond to the problems of those affected.

remain calm even in unusual and difficult situations.

are willing to engage in self-reflection, supervision, and further education, and have a self-sufficient, structured, goal-oriented, and reliable work style.

Through your empathetic and open nature, you are able to build trust with families, colleagues, and superiors, and respect the mission statement of the Diakonie of the EKD.
