Description

The Quality Supervisor interacts with Production, Engineering, and the Inspection team to ensure proper and effective quality processes are implemented ad executed.

Further, he/she reports out on the results of the Quality Management system and the costs associated with poor quality out of production.

He/she also manages, as direct reports, production inspectors.


The Quality Supervisor is responsible for using the ERP System and infrastructure, along with other tools, to report periodically on the metric driven elements of the Quality Management System.


Position Responsibilities

  • Work with management to continue to develop a productive QMS at Universal Metrics
  • Request and document results from periodic machine repeatability tests
  • Continue ongoing development, documentation, and execution of the Quality Management System
  • Lead the process of supporting the maintenance and development of UMI's ISO Certification
  • Utilize the ERP system to collect and report on quality transactions and processes
  • Serve as the goto souce for proper processing quality procedures and processes
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop process and procedure for Rework Work Orders
  • Work with Management and Manufacturing Engineering to develop the most effective use of quality and inspection resources in production routers and procedures
  • Develop and implement training materials for production and engineering team members to use for the benefit of properly particiapting in processing related to the Quality Management System
  • Report monthly on quality results
  • Understand proper use of relevant quality equipment and perform regular inspections to ensure product/employee adherence to applicable quality processes, inspections, or policies.

Position Requirements and Competencies

  • Ability to learn and navigate as needed in an ERP System (previous exp. in an ERP system preferred)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally with others
  • Able to contribute positively, in a team environment, while exhibiting a helpful and friendly disposition
  • Desire to streamline processes and procedures in an ongoing effort to find and efficiencies
  • Pleasant disposition, customer focused perspective, and ability to work well with others
  • Understanding of the discipline of quality and able evaluate process and procedure for the benefit of changing future results

Pay:
$65, $75,000.00 per year

Experience:


  • Quality management systems: 5 years (preferred)
