Job Duties


Under general direction, the Housing Community Development Representative II (HRDR II) independently performs the more responsible, complex, varied and difficult analytical assignments to include providing difficult technical assistance, policy analysis, and research with an emphasis on land use and planning including and Accessory Dwelling Unit Law (ADU).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, data analysis and research, report preparation, stakeholder outreach, and technical assistance activities.

The incumbent also provides policy and legislative analyses, advice, and recommendations on housing and community development polices, and actively supports the Department's mission and policy priorities.


Desirables

  • Knowledge of state housing law, land use planning, Accessory Dwelling Law, and/or local housing policies.
  • Research and data analysis experience in the areas of State Housing and Accessory Dwelling Law.
  • Experience with stakeholder and/or public outreach and facilitating events.
  • Experience with permitting, coordination with local jurisdictions, and the California Building Code.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiar with California State government or other policymaking practices including, the legislative process.

Pay:
$5, $7,474.00 per month
