The County Committee of Hochtaunuskreis is seeking a Tiergesundheitsaufseher (Animal Health Inspector) (m/w/d) for the Department 60.50 Health Services, Veterinary Medicine and Consumer Protection in New Troy, MI.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of animal diseases and animal welfare regulations in all types of animal populations, shows, fairs, and transport
  • Inspection of the handling of veterinary medicines
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations for the disposal of animal carcasses
  • Participation in measures to address and prevent violations in accordance with veterinary regulations
  • Conducting Cross-Compliance checks
  • Providing advice to citizens in the abovementioned areas of responsibility
  • Preparation and acceptance of veterinary samples, sample transport
  • Administrative tasks such as maintaining operational data, writing reports, and preparing statistics

Requirements:

  • Completed training as a Tiergesundheitsaufseher (Animal Health Inspector) (m/w/d) or alternatively
  • Completed training with two years of relevant work experience as a Tierwirt (Animal Keeper) (m/w/d), Tierpfleger (Animal Caretaker) (m/w/d), Landwirt (Farmer) (m/w/d), or in comparable professions with additional training (e.g. Meister (Master) (m/w/d), Techniker (Technician) (m/w/d)) or Veterinärmedizinischer Fachangestellter (Veterinary Medical Assistant) (m/w/d)
