Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.

This is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. No weekends or holidays. Located at the Scripps Clinic for Integrative Medicine in La Jolla at the Shiley Pavilion.

Position Description:

Front and back office duties
Perform patient intakes
Rooming patients
Assisting with EKGs
Completing clerical duties including insurance authorizations, in basket for lab follow ups, taking supply inventory and managing medication authorization approvals.
Float to other sites within the specialty depending upon department needs.
You will primarily support our Cardiology providers but will also support Pain Management, Acupuncture, Biofeedback, and Dieticians as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program or a minimum of two years of experience as a Military Corpsman or Medical Assistant Certification
BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
