    As a Field Service Engineer II, you will lead successful on-site servicing, calibration, repair, and installation processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. The Field Service Engineer II will validate, move, decommission, reconnect, and verify that the complex equipment is operating properly (with guidance and direction from GE union staff). You must be able to have a brief knowledge of SCADA and PLC systems into customer's processes, stand alone programming, installation, and incorporations of these systems. A main duty of this particular position is the ability to perform instrument calibrations, Temperature Uniformity Studies (TUS) and System Accuracy Tests (SAT's) on customers working and process instrumentation. A working knowledge and familiarity to ISO17025 and AMS2750 will be learned by training from written specification and OJT training with current site technician. Strong organizational and documentation skills and practices are required.

    This is a hands-on role responsible for troubleshooting, set-up and breakdown of analytical equipment (ex: industrial heat treating and thermal processing equipment).

    Your duties will encompass not only the hands-on implementation and functional testing, but also the crucial oversight and coordination of electrical, instrumentation and controls.

    *This role will be 100% onsite with a customer in Lynn MA. Primary office will be home based remote when not at customer site.

    Company car and travel card for expenses are included.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Calibration, performing SAT's and TUS's. Documenting results and interfacing with the customers to relay information garnered from testing / work activities.
    • Safely troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment that requires calibration.
    • Understand, troubleshoot, and modify PLC programs when required.
    • Identification of improvements. Programming (minor to moderate modifications/configuration) to implement improvements in the PLC Logic and HMIs.
    • Preventive/corrective maintenance for automation and control systems.
    • Proficient in the use of multiple types of calibration equipment and basic hand tools.
    • Ability to complete all work in a timely manner with little or no direction
    YOU MUST HAVE
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent field
    • Basic Electrical and Mechanical system experience
    • Willingness to learn and be a self starter.

    • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
    WE VALUE
    • SCADA systems, such as: Experion LS and HS
    • GMP, Pharma experience, military and aviation experience.
    • Established process control skills, familiarity with PLC's, SCADA systems, single loop control.
    • Experience with quality systems (ISO9000, ISO17025, AMS2750, etc)
    • Control Instrumentation Experience, including but not limited to: Honeywell HC, CS, Digital reorders and single loop controllers, analytical equipment.
    • Technical writing experience
    • Experience with technical reviews of repairs
