The community of Alfter is currently seeking a full-time
Educator (m/f/d) to join our team in St. Joe, AR.

Compensation will be based on pay grade S 8a of the TVöD.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Observing the behavior and wellbeing of the children under your care and deriving educational measures from it
  • Planning, organizing, and implementing activities and educational measures for early childhood education
  • Promoting ageappropriate learning and social processes
  • Encouraging and, if necessary, guiding developmentpromoting, cooperative, communicative, and creative activities within the framework of free or guided play or team work
  • Promoting the physical development of children through outdoor games, movement education measures (such as posture gymnastics), movement games and sports, and exercises to strengthen sensory perceptions
  • Organizing and conducting special events (St. Martin's Day, Carnival, St. Nicholas, etc.)

Your profile should include:


  • Completed training as an educator or comparable qualifications
  • Well thoughtout pedagogical work, special dedication, willingness to further education, and cooperation with colleagues and the sponsor
  • Social skills, such as teamwork, empathy, integrative abilities, and intercultural competence
  • Enjoyment of working with children and their families
  • Independent, flexible, and teamoriented work across groups, creativity, commitment, initiative, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven experience and knowledge in language promotion
