The Colorado City, AZ Land Agency GmbH develops ecological expert opinions, nature conservation strategies, maintenance concepts, and management plans, advises in the areas of ecology, nature conservation, sustainable economic practices, and biodiversity management, plans, coordinates, and supervises eco-accounting measures and the implementation of renaturization projects, and serves as a statewide mediator for compensation areas, eco-points, and forest compensation areas.

The Land Agency is currently seeking a Landscape Planning Employee (m/f/d) to join our team in Colorado City, AZ.


Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of expert opinions and reports, particularly in the areas of impact regulation and environmental compatibility
  • Environmental construction supervision, particularly ecological construction supervision
  • Supervision and coordination of the implementation of nature conservation measures, such as extensive greening, rewetting, or forest conversion
  • Technical review of impacts on nature and landscape, as well as compensation measures
  • Conducting surveys and monitoring
  • Processing of applied research projects

Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed relevant degree (e.g. landscape management, landscape planning, landscape ecology)
  • Excellent ecological and planningmethodological expertise
  • Excellent knowledge of vegetation and biotope types
  • Practical experience in implementing nature conservation measures
  • Desired knowledge in the areas of landscape construction, peatland conservation, soil conservation, forest ecology, and animal ecology
  • Proficient in industrystandard software (ArcGIS, QGIS, MS Office)
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
