Description


The Kerckhoff Clinic is one of the largest specialized centers in Germany for the treatment of heart, lung, vascular, and rheumatic diseases, as well as transplantation and rehabilitation medicine, with an excellent reputation and international renown.

With approximately 381 acute and 130 rehabilitation beds, it is also the center for thoracic organ transplantation (heart and lung) in Hessen.

Each year, the clinic provides care for numerous inpatient and outpatient patients. As a non-profit GmbH, it is supported by the William G. Kerckhoff Foundation, Heart and Rheumatism Center in Bad Nauheim.

The foundation is represented by the state of Hessen, the Max Planck Society, the city of Bad Nauheim, and the original Kerckhoff Foundation.

Since 2017, the Kerckhoff Clinic has been a campus of the Justus Liebig University in Gießen and also participates in the clinical education of students at JLU Gießen.

With 1400 employees, the specialized center is one of the largest employers in the city of Bad Nauheim.
