We are currently seeking a highly skilled senior lawyer to oversee corporate finance and general contract law matters related to investment management, finance, procurement, and new business models.

In this role, you will work independently on a variety of projects and provide legal advice to the business on all relevant issues.

With constantly evolving and exciting projects, there is never a dull moment.

As part of Munich Re's central division Group Compliance & Legal, reporting directly to the CEO, you will join our Regulatory & Commercial department in Munich.

This department is responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice in the areas of regulatory and commercial law, including investment management, finance, general contract and commercial law, insurance supervision, and anti-trust and competition law.

Our clients include other central divisions such as Group Investment Management, Corporate Procurement, IT, as well as operational business units and affiliates across the Munich Re Group.

Your Job

Provide legal advice, including drafting and negotiating, for investment management agreements and fund investments
Advise on legal matters related to new business models, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating cooperation agreements with strategic business partners
Support and advise on corporate setups and governance structures, draft and negotiate intragroup agreements, etc.
Select and manage external lawyers

Your Profile

Qualified lawyer with distinction in both German state examinations or equivalent qualification in another European jurisdiction or the US
Excellent fluency in German
