Chemical-Technical Assistant (d/m/w) - Salary Group 9a TV-L Berlin Universities:
Part-time employment is possible if necessary.


Job Description:


  • Laboratory organization: Supervision, further development and quality assurance of experimental laboratory work in the field of circular economy and recycling technology
  • Chemicalphysical characterization, e.g. determination of element contents, of substrates and waste samples as well as recycling products
  • Implementation of statistical experimental design and sampling in experimental research work and development of sample preparation methods for heterogeneous mixtures
  • Instruction of students and scientific staff in the field of laboratory work and occupational safety
  • Assumption of tasks in the areas of occupational health and safety and environmental protection

Expected Qualifications:


  • Staterecognized degree as a chemicaltechnical assistant
  • Experience in at least two of the following fields: biomass and fuel characterization, elemental analysis (AAS, ICP-MS/OES, IC, elemental analysis) from environmental samples, spectroscopic methods (XRF, NIR, FTIR) for material characterization
  • Very good knowledge of safety requirements and experience in handling chemicals, gases and radiation protection
  • A high level of responsibility and proper and safe handling of hazardous substances (chemicals and gases)
  • Indepth knowledge of environmental and waste analysis, sampling and preparation, as well as the underlying standards, is desirable
  • Good knowledge and experience in handling IT networks and modern operating systems (especially Windows) as well as
