Duties:
Knowledge and skill to mix and serve beverages from a bar which is limited to a few varieties and brands of liquor, soda, beer, and wine.
Knowledge of the correct proportions and mixtures to use in preparing beverages according to name request from patrons or cocktail attendants.
Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed.Ability to collect tabs or chits in appropriate amounts and reconcile them with the quantities and prices of items dispensed.
Requirements:
Conditions of Employment:
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- Must walk or stand for prolonged periods of time. Uses dolly to transport beer kegs. Frequently handles objects weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Work schedule is flexible and will vary as required by the needs of the program to include nights, weekends, and holiday shifts as well as split days off.
- May have or obtain and maintain the following certification within 90 days of hire: Food Handlers and/or C.A.R.E (Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively).
- Must meet minimum state age requirements to prepare/serve alcohol.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months of bartending experience.
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
