The position of Licensing Coordinator provides support for all contracting, licensing, and onboarding efforts for Northwestern Mutual - Minneapolis.
This position will be responsible for providing exceptional candidate care as they guide the candidates through pre-employment requirements and into their first day.
This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
The duties of this position entail specific responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:Contracting & Licensing
Manage completion of pre-employment requirements for contracting of new hires, process changes and terminations as needed
Act as liaison between the office and the Home Office during background screening process. Flag findings to the Managing Partner for determining appropriate action
Manage insurance licensing and registration licensing processes (course sign up, material ordering, exam scheduling) for new office staff and advisors
Schedule and track licensing, or registration education requirements, to include continuing education or industry or Home Office courses.
Onboarding
Effectively communicate onboarding procedures, detail and status, to candidates, recruiting team, and office leadership
Conduct onboarding meetings with new Financial Advisor Interns
Assist Financial Advisor support staff through the onboarding process
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's Degree required
Insurance licensing knowledge preferred
1+ year experience in office setting
Proven ability to build relationships/rapport quickly
Strong attention to detail, and follow through
Works effectively with people at all levels
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Aptitude and disciple to follow processes, and adhere to company policies and employment regulations
