The Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) is a self-governing organization of science funded by the federal government and states. It currently operates 84 institutes and research centers in Germany and abroad, conducting fundamental research in the fields of natural and social sciences. It is one of the leading international research institutions with numerous Nobel laureates among its members.

The General Administration of the MPG is seeking several Junior Project Managers in Construction Project Management (m/f/d) (reference number 72/24) for its Department of Research Buildings and Infrastructure to start as soon as possible for 39 hours per week.

The Max Planck Society is committed to sustainability in construction. Both the construction of new buildings and the renovation of the extensive existing buildings are to be guided by sustainability criteria. We are therefore looking for young professionals from the fields of architecture or civil engineering.

Your tasks will include
  • You will take on sub-project management for construction projects at properties
  • You will support project management in pursuing project goals for major projects
  • You will monitor the performance of those involved in planning
  • You will participate in the awarding of planning and construction contracts
  • You will monitor deadlines and costs in projects
