Healthcare Planner II - GIS Specialist

The Innova Group is a Healthcare Planning Consultancy with offices and staff in Austin, Boston, Charleston, Charlotte, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Minneapolis, Nashville, and Tucson.

Since 1995, our multidisciplinary team have been developing innovative strategic capital investment solutions for healthcare systems, both nationally and overseas.

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

Salary Range:
$80,000-100,000

Utilize GIS software (ArcGIS) to create, edit and maintain GIS geodatabases, services, layers, and maps.
Performs spatial and location analysis on geographic data to support project development and decision making.
Assess and analyze client data, such as patient population (geocoded or aggregated), utilizating spatial statistics, network, and location analysis.
Interface and complement data team analysis.
Analyze, forecast, and display findings to support project requirements.
Demonstrate growing expertise utilizing healthcare planning metrics and emerging trends to define operational requirements (space and staff).
Support development of complete healthcare planning documentation for regional service delivery, functional programming, and facility planning.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor Degree in one of the following programs: Geography, GIS, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Planning, or other data/analysis intensive major.
5 years of GIS experience (Data and Graphic Side)
Problem seeker/problem solving skills.
Team player
Ability to create/communicate relevant solutions to complex problems.

Technical Skills Desired

Knowledge of geospatial analysis techniques such as the use of map overlays, buffering, filtering, map algebra, spatial statistics, network analysis, location analytics, and geovisualization.
Knowledge of cartographic design principles and standards.
Ability to write, modify, and read Basic level SQL Queries.
Ability to write, modify, and read Basic Level Python Scripting.
SQL: base proficiency (data, query/table development, etc.)

Graphics capability, able to portray data/analysis in a visually.
Business Intelligence Tools
Tableau
Power Bi
MS Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel (intermediate proficiency
Pivot tables, complex "if" statements, conditional formatting)
Computer Experience (Hardware / Software / Etc.)
Experience Related to Healthcare

Location/Benefits/Travel

This position is being offered out of our Austin office located 9442 N Capital of Texas Hwy Arboretum Plaze 1, Suite 325.

Austin, Texas Benefits include paid vacation, healthcare, health savings account, 401K, and profit-sharing. Some travel is required for this position, as this position will have client facing interaction and responsibilities.
