    Description

    Job Title: Multilateral Nuclear Arms Control Specialist at U.S. Department of State


    This position is with the Bureau of Arms Control, Deterrence, and Stability in the Office of Multilateral and Nuclear Affairs (ADS/MNA).

    MNA plays a vital role in developing and executing U.S. policies for multilateral nuclear arms control and disarmament agreements and bodies. By doing so, they enhance U.S. security interests, demonstrate U.S. leadership in international organizations, and strengthen global disarmament efforts.

    This job based in Washington, DC or offers a remote work option.

    • Salary: $163,964 - $191,900 per year

    Position Overview:

    • Involves advancing multilateral nuclear arms control efforts
    • Represents the U.S. in international arms control and disarmament forums
    • Provides advisory support for developing policies on multilateral arms control
    • Executes diplomatic strategies to garner international backing for policies
    • Manages contracts and grants with external organizations to meet foreign policy objectives

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or graduate degree in relevant field
    • At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 level

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to provide policy recommendations on multilateral nuclear arms control
    • Knowledge of U.S. foreign affairs, policies, and organizations
    • Skills in leading negotiations and project management
