In the development of the collaborative modeling tool PREEvision, measurement and sampling-based performance measurement methods are used to analyze performance issues. In this role, you will develop and implement a concept for automatically grouping (clustering) similar performance samples. This will reduce the manual effort required for categorizing and analyzing performance issues.

It is important to us that you get to know working at Vector on site. In order to balance your studies and work, we offer mobile work options after individual coordination, depending on the specific task. Please note that pure remote work is not possible.

Your profile:

Studying computer science, electrical and information technology, business informatics or a comparable degree program
Good programming skills in Java
Ideally, knowledge in software performance engineering, application performance monitoring (APM), and the use of sampling tools such as VisualVM, JProfiler or Java Flight Recorder
Good German and English skills

Your tasks:

Application, evaluation and extension of existing similarity measures for comparing performance samples
Integration and comparison of similarity measures in clustering methods for grouping similar performance samples
Prototype implementation of a tool for clustering performance samples
Validation of clustering methods using a historical database
