Description

We are currently seeking a Technical Assistant (m/f/d) or Biologist (m/f/d) for our
"IVD Testing Laboratory" at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute, a federal scientific institution responsible for the testing and approval of vaccines and biomedical drugs.

We also conduct research in the field of life sciences and collaborate with national and international stakeholders, making us a competent partner for the public, science, medicine, politics, and economy.

The "IVD Testing Laboratory"

In the interest of public health, the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute has established an accredited
IVD Testing Laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17025 and Directive 98/79/EC.

This laboratory works with designated bodies and other organizations to test and evaluate diagnostics (HIV, HTLV, HBV, HCV, and Hepatitis Delta tests, as well as reagents for determining blood group systems AB0, Rhesus, and Kell).

The laboratory's tasks include practical testing of the diagnostics and communication with the clients.

In addition, the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute has been designated as an
EU Reference Laboratory (EURL) for IVDs under Regulation (EU) 2017/746 for the testing areas of "Hepatitis and Retroviruses" and "Highly Pathogenic Respiratory Viruses" (e.g.
