This is a full time position: Monday - Friday with standard hours 7:30am-3:30pm or 8am-4pm and occasionally non-standard availability required

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communication, or related field
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or related fields
  • Proven track record of successfully managing fundraising campaigns and/or securing Major Gifts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the school's mission and fundraising priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in fundraising software and database management systems
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Learning Prep School

Job Goal:
To develop, maintain, and implement fundraising, community engagement, and marketing strategies aligned to the mission, values, and needs of Learning Prep School


Responsibilities:

- _Fundraising Strategy_: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the school's mission and goals. This includes annual giving campaigns, Major Gifts, and special events. Monitor and regularly communicate progress to leadership team, the Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders.
- _Donor Cultivation and Stewardship_: Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, parents, grandparents, and other key stakeholders. Cultivate a culture of philanthropy within the school community and ensure that donors feel appreciated and valued for their contributions.
- _Leadership_: Work closely with school leadership, the Board of Trustees, and a development committee to align fundraising efforts with the school's strategic priorities. Provide leadership and guidance to volunteers involved in fundraising activities. Support Executive Director to cultivate and steward major gifts.
- _Communications and Marketing_: Collaborate with the Admissions Director to develop effective fundraising materials, including appeal letters, newsletters, and social media campaigns. Utilize various communication channels to engage donors and promote fundraising initiatives.
- _Community_: Maintain visible, enthusiastic involvement in the daily life of the school.
- _Event Planning and Management_: Plan and execute fundraising events, such as an annual Signature Event, and donor receptions. Coordinate logistics, recruit volunteers, and oversee event budgets to ensure successful outcomes.
- _Budget_: Manage budget for annual fund and special events and other fundraising activities. Meet regularly with the Business Office to ensure best accounting practices.
- _Grant Writing and Management_: Research grant opportunities and prepare compelling grant proposals to secure funding for programs and initiatives. Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with grant guidelines.
- _Database Management_: Maintain accurate donor records and gift processing systems. Utilize fundraising software to track donor interactions, manage fundraising campaigns, provide acknowledgements, and generate reports.
