    The Manager Compliance and Audit: Corrective Action Oversight is responsible for maintaining and fostering an environment that enhances and promotes compliance. The focus of this oversight involves working with compliance management in the planning and execution of compliance oversight and related activities. Additionally, this position works closely with team members throughout the organization to identify compliance issues, facilitate productive problem-solving discussions, and effectively mitigate compliance risks. The Manager Compliance and Audit: Corrective Action Oversight has visibility and oversight into all corrective action plans (CAPs) and plays a critical role in multiple compliance projects at the same time.

    Job Description:

    • Manages projects, initiatives, and audits to support the effectiveness of the Healthfirst Compliance Program.
    • Actively participates in identification of potential risk areas and facilitates development and implementation of corrective actions to ensure continued compliance.
    • Creates detailed reports on compliance activities informing management of results, trends, risks and deficiencies
    • Initiates and coordinates meetings to ensure issues of non-compliance are monitored through remediation.
    • Assesses information and data from multiple operational areas, applies understanding of requirements, evaluates for compliance with requirements and summarizes review.
    • Performs routine compliance oversight by monitoring operational function's compliance with state and federal standards.
      • Compiles, extracts, organizes, and analyzes data.
      • Sustains collaborative relationships by facilitating communication that enhances compliant operations.
      • Recommends improvements in compliance processes as well as operational policies, practices, and corrective action plans, as appropriate, to address deficiencies and align with regulatory standards.
      • Monitors and documents progress and outcomes; escalates areas of noncompliance to management as required.
    • Contributes to annual compliance risk assessments and the Compliance oversight plan.
    • Develops and maintains documentation of all compliance activities and communications which are conducted to support corporate and regulatory compliance efforts.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • At least 3 years' experience in healthcare
    • Proven experience presenting to peers and leaders at all levels
    • Strong (verbal and written) communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Intermediate skills in MS software (i.e. Excel, etc.)
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities to effectively meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Works well both independently and in a high-producing team environment. A motivated, self-starter. Able to work with other departments to foster collaborative relationships that promote compliance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • An understanding of the New York Healthcare landscape
    • 3 years healthcare compliance experience
    • 1-3 years' audit and monitoring experience

    Hiring Range*:

    • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $98,400 - $142,205
    • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $84,400 - $125,545

    As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
