The Institute of Legal Medicine, Forensic Molecular Genetics at the University Hospital Düsseldorf is currently seeking a Scientific Employee (m/f/d) to join our team as soon as possible.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as deputy laboratory manager (molecular genetics laboratory)
  • Preparing expert opinions in accordance with the latest scientific standards and representing them in court
  • Processing (also in the laboratory) of forensic trace/lineage cases using molecular biological examination methods
  • Supporting the quality management system and administrative tasks
  • Assisting in research projects, developing your own research projects (possibility of habilitation), supervising bachelor's and master's students as well as doctoral candidates
  • Supporting teaching and continuing education events

Requirements:

  • Completed diploma/master's degree with a focus on molecular biology or molecular genetics
