This is a 7am - 7pm, 36 hour per week position. The work days for this position are 7am - 7pm every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.


Responsibilities- Coordinate all admissions processes and serve as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission- Process inquiry and referral calls and respond to request for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission- Verify insurance, triage patients, enter calls and admissions in computer and complete all admission paperwork with patient- Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, staff, and referral sources

Requirements:


Licensure:

Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Massachusetts
Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor Degree preferred
Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care.

Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.

Other:Excellent communication skills, i.e., verbal and written. Ability to prioritize; work well under periods of high stress and pressure. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Demonstrates an understanding of funding entities. Thorough knowledge of psychiatric services provided by the hospital. Ability to work flexible hours. Requires a basic understanding of computers; and accurate data entry skills. Knowledge of insurance contracts and payors. Knowledge of precertification for inpatient hospitalization. Experience gathering and documenting medical and clinical information to assess and staff appropriately with physician. Ability to triage for medical and psychiatric needs. Excellent customer service skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, visitors, families and referral sources.
