Duties:


  • Translates overarching business goals into specific objectives, assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, and ensures the accomplishment of mission and functions.
  • Explains performance expectations to employees, provides regular feedback and ensures consistency and equity in rating techniques.
  • Responsible for overseeing handson Information Technology (IT) customer support services to area/field offices throughout the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA).
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the lifecycle management program including the onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of all IT hardware, software and peripherals.

Qualifications:


  • You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 2210 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date.
  • Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS12 grade level. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.
  • Examples of qualifying experience include:
  • Develop long-range plans for IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities.
  • Develops specifications for proposals for the procurement of new and/or revised Information Technology (IT) solutions or services.
  • Manages all aspects of the lifecycle management program including the onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of all IT hardware, software and peripherals.
  • Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, and ensures the accomplishment of mission and functions.


You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
