Description

As a Senior Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d), Partfamily Manager, in the Sheet Metal material field, you are responsible for the cross-site strategy for the part families Container Construction and Sheet Metal Assemblies.

You implement the global material field strategy for your part families. In doing so, you are responsible for goals related to cost, delivery time, quality, as well as digitization and automation.

  • managing the entire purchasing volume in complex part families at various locations worldwide
  • strategic responsibility for: cost, delivery time, quality, and digitization
  • conducting framework and multi-year contract negotiations
  • generating, implementing, and tracking cross-site cost reduction measures
  • close collaboration with the operational and project-related purchasing departments at the locations
  • approximately 20% travel readiness (visiting plants, suppliers, and trade fairs) for international trips, including to China

Qualifications

  • degree in a technical/commercial field or a comparable qualification
  • several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in mechanical engineering
  • knowledge of welding technology desirable
  • confident in conducting negotiations and awarding contracts
  • fluent in English and German
