Description
The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, a member of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, is a leading research center for fusion and is dedicated to developing the fundamental principles for a future fusion power plant. The institute is part of the European Fusion Programme.

The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching is currently seeking a
Postdoctoral Computational Scientist (m/f/div) to join the division of "Numerical Methods of Plasma Physics" (NMPP).

The NMPP division is responsible for the development of the BSL6D code, a 6D tokamak turbulence simulation code that does not rely on gyrokinetic ordering.

This code is designed for use on high-performance computers and is written in C++ using the KOKKOS framework.

As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development and analysis of innovative numerical methods for transmitting domain boundaries between individual nodes, allowing for uninterrupted turbulence evolution and maximizing the potential of exascale computing.
