Description

As a Backend QA Tester at Templeton, VA, you will join our Backend Services team and ensure that our backend services meet the highest quality standards.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to identify, escalate, and resolve quality issues.

Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality metrics and reports.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing QA strategies, policies, procedures, and standards for the backend services team
Working closely with the development and product management teams to understand product requirements and communicate changes
Creating and executing manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure product quality
Conducting root cause analysis on quality issues and working with crossfunctional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
Maintaining quality metrics and reports and communicating quality status and progress to stakeholders
Continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of QA processes and identifying areas for improvement
Collaborating with customer support to identify, escalate, and resolve quality issues reported by customers

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or has relevant technical ability
Has at least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or API testing
Possesses knowledge of API testing principles and best practices
Is proficient in manual API testing using Postman
Has knowledge of writing prerequest scripts and tests for automated test runs with
