Description
Finding a vocational training that fits your interests and abilities is not always easy.

If you enjoy working with your hands and are also interested in technology and medicine, then the profession of surgical mechanic may be suitable for you.

As a surgical mechanic, you will manufacture a variety of instruments, devices, and aids that doctors use in examinations and in the operating room, such as forceps, clamps, scalpels, needle holders, or scissors.

The instruments produced by Geuder AG are used in eye surgeries and are therefore extremely small and delicate. Production often takes place under a microscope, requiring high concentration and extreme precision.

Requirements:

  • Good secondary school diploma, high school diploma, or equivalent foreign diploma
  • Preference for fine handiwork
  • Technical understanding and quick comprehension
  • Good fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Good spatial imagination
  • Teamwork skills and ability to work independently

We offer:

  • Individual support during the 3-year training
  • Structured training program with years of experience in training
  • Coverage of costs for the inter-company training blocks in Tuttlingen/Black Forest in the 2nd and 4th year (travel, meals, accommodation) and all examination fees
  • Good opportunities for permanent employment upon successful completion of the training.
