Description
The Project Manager will manage a team of personnel assigned to an implementation, upgrade, or similar type of project. Dependent on project size and scope, the Project Manager may be assigned multiple projects to manage. The Project Manager will be accountable for project deliverables, timeline, and budget.

Key to this role will be creating and maintaining a project plan, working with managers to estimate work effort and allocate resources, and delivering excellent customer service by building a strong and effective working relationship with the customer.

This Project Manager opportunity will support our MarketProminence solution suite, which includes our Enrollment, Billing, and Financial Reconciliation product modules.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Accountable for the successful completion of a project's deliverables
  • Has the lead role on a project team and serves as the primary contact
  • Documents project scope
  • Manages changes in scope in accordance with change control procedures
  • Develops, updates, and actively manages a comprehensive project plan, including tasks, start and end dates, work effort, resource assignments, milestones, and critical path
  • Actively leads the project planning process, stages, and customer engagement
  • Drives collaboration between functional teams and customers to achieve milestones and deliverables
  • Ensures major decisions are documented and communicated
  • Identifies and document issues. Works with project team to resolve issues that arise.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks
  • Documents actions items and verifies they're completed
  • Contributes to improving Project Management Office (PMO) processes
  • Applies PMO standards and methods to deliver desired results
  • Collaborates with managers and directors to secure resources for a project
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings and onsite activities
  • Facilitates meetings. Ensures agenda and minutes are published
  • Responsible for ensuring project artifacts are stored in a location in line with company policies and are accessible by appropriate team members
  • Manages resource bookings for assigned project(s)
  • Responsible for reporting on the status of a project and escalating issues
  • Drafts Statement of Work (SOW) or Change Request (CR) as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required. Will consider equivalent experience.
  • PMI certification (PMP) preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Ability to build strong relationships within the department & with internal partners across all areas within the organization
  • Professional knowledge of integrations, data, sprint planning, QA preparedness, and agile methodologies
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fastpaced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting all established deadlines and deliverables with quick turnarounds.
  • Working effectively as a peerteam leader and independently with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrating sound critical thinking and decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to verbally deliver presentations to small groups
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to communicate complex problems in an easily understood manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate client business needs to technical staff
  • Attention to detail in written documents
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager in the healthcare, health insurance, or healthcare software industry
  • Experienced in project governance, capacity planning, and project budgeting
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry (Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial) with an understanding of related compliance and quality aspects
  • Selfstarter, with strong sense of ownership, assertive followthrough, and a passion for the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal, organizational, and written skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Project preferred
  • PMI certification (PMP) preferred

Additional Requirements:


  • Some occasional travel to clients might be necessary as needed.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
