- Responsible for supervising Freezer Associates and other Shipping and Receiving personnel, coordinates and controls handling, storage, location and flow of finished product through Freezer Warehouse areas;
- Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments;
- Oversees and ensures that arrangements are made for excess product to be store in the warehouse area;
- Oversees storage space assignments to handle daily flow of finished product;
- Oversees and checks availability of items to be shipped by checking inventory records or conducting a spot inventory of required product;
- Verifies quantity of cases of each and Best By Dates of product are logged and identified properly;
- Identifies and reports slow moving product. Identifies and rotates product accordingly;
- Keeps management informed as to the status of Finished Goods Inventory and reports any discrepancies;
- Ensures that all products is transferred and delivered to the designated location as requested;
- Ensures that all necessary reports and forms are filled out and submitted in a timely manner; and
- Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE);
- Ensures all areas are kept clean at all times;
- Attends all company training sessions; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse procedures and regulations
- Must be certified as a Forklift Operator
- Responsible, dependable, conscientious, alert, and safety minded
- Proficient math skills
- Excellent attendance and safety record
- Knowledgeable in Excel, Outlook and Internet
- Must be able to work in a Freezer Temperature of -20?
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below
- Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOPs
- Accurately completes require Food Safety & Quality Records
- Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the Q.A Manager and Department Manager.
- Responsible for reporting any food safety concerns or tampering with product
- Attends all Food Safety/Quality training sessions

Description
Position Overview:
The Warehouse/Freezer Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepares items for shipment.
Supervises the day-to-day activities and work performances of the Freezer Warehouse staff. Makes recommendations for process improvements/training and will be involved on hiring/terminating following Tropicale policies.
May operate hand and power equipment for material handling to accommodate storage of products throughout the Freezer Warehouse.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 5 years experience as a warehouse team member, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to stand for long periods of time, walk, frequently lift material up to 50 pounds, with frequent twisting, turning, reaching, pushing and pulling use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.
Work is normally performed in a sub-zero freezer/warehouse/production environment. As part of the job requirements, employee will be exposed to working in a warehouse setting with cold temperature (-20?) at times. Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24 hour production facility. Schedule may include weekends.
