Children's Learning Place is looking for individuals passionate about working and helping with the development of children from 6 weeks old to 6 years old.

The positions we are focusing on at the moment are Assistants for our CLP West Town school.

Shift Details

  • Assistants Monday through Friday and approximately 30 to 35 hours a week; approximately 11:00am to 6/6:15pm
  • DCFS and Health Department requires physical, TB test, proof of MMR vaccines and Tdap on the DCFS form (if hired, will go over paperwork)

DCFS:
(a)Early childhood assistants shall meet the requirements of Section , with the exception of subsection. (b) Early childhood and school-age assistants shall have a
high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following

  • Help ensure a safe and loving environment for the children's benefit and for the parents' peace of mind.
  • Assist teachers with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
  • Assist in supervision on all children at all times
  • Responsible for observations to the Teaching Strategies
  • Responsible for working with the teacher to create, lesson plans, newsletters, classroom plans
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment
  • Assist in preparation, serving and clean up for breakfast, lunch and snack
  • Assist with all difficult potty training, positive disciplining
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Must participate in 15 hours of inservice training or off site training per calendar year.

Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
