Children's Learning Place is looking for individuals passionate about working and helping with the development of children from 6 weeks old to 6 years old.

The positions we are focusing on at the moment are Assistants for our CLP West Town school.

Shift Details

Assistants Monday through Friday and approximately 30 to 35 hours a week; approximately 11:00am to 6/6:15pm
DCFS and Health Department requires physical, TB test, proof of MMR vaccines and Tdap on the DCFS form (if hired, will go over paperwork)

Qualifications:

DCFS:
(a)Early childhood assistants shall meet the requirements of Section , with the exception of subsection. (b) Early childhood and school-age assistants shall have a
high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following

Help ensure a safe and loving environment for the children's benefit and for the parents' peace of mind.
Assist teachers with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
Assist in supervision on all children at all times
Responsible for observations to the Teaching Strategies
Responsible for working with the teacher to create, lesson plans, newsletters, classroom plans
Maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment
Assist in preparation, serving and clean up for breakfast, lunch and snack
Assist with all difficult potty training, positive disciplining
CPR/First Aid
Must participate in 15 hours of inservice training or off site training per calendar year.

Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
