TasksThe training to become a care assistant is offered at the Theresia-Scherer
  • Schule, a vocational school for social professions.
Theory and practice are perfectly coordinated. The training lasts one year with the option to continue with the training to become a qualified care professional.
ProfileAs a care assistant, you will support professionals in providing professional assistance, support, and advice to elderly people. It is important to adapt to the needs and wishes of the elderly and to respond sensitively.
CompensationYour compensation during the training is based on the church's employment contract guidelines (AVR):
in the 1st year of training, you will receive 1,064.91 euros. If you work in shift service, you will receive a shift allowance of 30 euros. In addition, there are time supplements for weekend and holiday services. In November of each year, a Christmas allowance is paid.

PerspectiveFor suitable candidates without a secondary school leaving certificate, we offer the opportunity to take an exam to become a care assistant after the first year of training.

This will give them access to the new generalist nursing training.
