CH-47 Aircraft Mechanic - Wyboo, SC


The CH-47 Aircraft Mechanic 3 is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on military tactical aircraft, specifically the CH-47. This includes assembly, modification, and repair of major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and related systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all necessary maintenance tasks on military tactical aircraft.
  • Install, connect, and adjust various systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission.
  • Assemble and align fuselage parts, tail rotor assemblies, and flight control systems.
  • Incorporate authorized modifications and changes.
  • Conduct operational checks on hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources and ground equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, and make necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Direct lowergraded mechanics in the assembly, modification, and checkout of the entire aircraft.
  • Coordinate with other trades, such as electrical, avionics, and sheet metal, to ensure proper sequence of the aircraft assembly process.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent aircraft maintenance experience, with at least 1 year on the CH4
  • FAA A&P license is required, or a valid FCC license with Elements 1 and 3 will be accepted.
  • U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired
