Description
Develop and/or follow life Development program curriculums, resources, and supplies to meet each individual needs.

  • Provide personal assistance and supervision to individuals during daily activities both inside and outside of the facility.
  • Provide personal assistance with ambulation and mobility as needed at the facility, during community activities and social interactions. Must participation in leisure and social activities.
  • Assist with the provision of transportation to community outings, daily route to and from the facility.
  • Teach individual or group activities that focus on developing or maintain life skills and community integration.
  • Provide assistance and supervision with personal care such as; toileting, incontinent care.
  • Provide assistance and supervision with dietary needs such as; feeding eating and food preparation.
  • Provide assistance with medications and the performance of tasks delegated by a Registered Nurse.
  • Complete service objectives and documentation in compliance with the HCS Certification principles and billing guide lines. To include but not limited to Progress notes, data sheets and behavioral logs.
  • Adhere to Thomas & Lewin Associates policies and procedures. Maintain documentation required by the agency to include, but not limited to medication records, incident reports, etc.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote safety measures among team members and the individual enrolled.
  • Provide health care services to the Individuals served at the facility.
  • Must adhere to universal Precautions and Blood-Borne Pathogen Standards while working with the Individuals.
  • Respond to emergency needs of individuals as needed including obtaining emergency care/ assistance and implementing the agency's personal behavioral intervention technique.
  • Must attend inservice and training as scheduled.
  • Must participate and assist during Fire Drills.
  • Each work area in the facility must be maintained and cleaned daily, to include but not limited to sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning each bathroom, mopping, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position will involve tasks that may expose the employee to blood, bodily fluids and/or body tissue. All of the job related tasks may involve potential exposure to mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, bodily tissues, or the potential for spills and/or splashes of these fluids. Use of appropriate protective clothing (Standard Precautions and Blood-Borne Pathogen Procedures) is required for every employee.

SHIFT Monday thru Friday 08:30am to 4:30pm**Pay: $12.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Texas Car Insurance (required)
  • CPR / First Aid (preferred)
