What you bring to SBHG
(Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred or two years' experience in a mental health field or 2 years' experience working in a training or staff development department
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel to all program sites throughout Los Angeles County
  • Demonstrated ability to train staff on behavioral health issues

How you will make a difference **(Job Overview):
The Training Coordinator, in consultation with the SVCS/TM/VS Regional Training Manager, coordinates the provision of new
employee orientations and All Staff Meetings to Star View employees. This position utilizes Thinking Cap to track in-service attendance.
Accurate data entry and maintenance of in-service records for all employees of Wraparound and Community Services Employees is the
The Training Coordinator periodically audits staff training records to make sure everyone is in compliance with mandatory training requirements
and ensures supervisors and the Regional HR/Training Manager are made aware of any deficiencies. The Training Coordinator also tracks new
hire start dates and ensures the Compliance trainings are completed within corporate mandated time frames. Ensures training materials and
sign in sheets are available for all trainings conducted by the Regional Training Manager and other training staff. Conducts phase one trainings
and remedial trainings in the EMR. Assures, in coordination with Supervisors and the Regional Training Manager, that individuals who need
retraining are scheduled, and that all EMR specific authorizations and trainings are complete. The position may assist with LATC trainings as
appointed by the Wraparound Administrator. The Training Coordinator develops liaisons with County staff, universities, and other organizations
to assess the need for training, obtain professional assistance to provide training, and develop joint-training opportunities.


Essential Duties (Responsibilities
)

  • Coordinates provision of New Employee Orientation.
  • Coordinates the provision of the bi-annual All Staff Meetings.
  • Ensures all sign-in sheets are accurate, complete, and turned in to the training department in a timely manner.
  • Enters data into the LMS and ensures the integrity of the system.
  • Maintains the training files.
  • Assists the Regional Training Manager with compliance training tracking and delivery of General Compliance Training.
  • Makes or secures copies of training materials.
  • Provides expertise in operating a projector, laptop, and other technical systems.
  • Assist in other training activities.
  • Conduct Phase I EMR Training in orientation.
  • Set up the training environment for new user training in Phase I.
  • Assists the Regional Training Manager and other training staff with specialized non-clinical trainings
  • Assists with PowerPoint development and planning for all training events
  • May coordinate LATC training.
  • May support CANS Trainings and CFT coaching program.
  • Receives and implements training recommendations from the Quality Assurance Committee
  • Participates in and contributes to quality improvement of agency services, programs and/or operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
