Description

First 5 Riverside County(F5RC), Riverside County Children and Families Commission (CFC) seeks a Deputy Director for CFC who will be assigned to their Resilient Families Division.

The Deputy Director reports to the department's Executive Director.


Incumbent will be required to drive throughout Riverside County to manage daily operations of multiple Family Resource Centers and participate in staff meetings.


  • Programs and diverse operations and services.
  • Facility acquisitions.
  • Procurement/development of programs.
  • Grant writing experience.
  • Development and maintenance of a multiplefunded department budget.
  • Master's degree is highly desired.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.


This class has been designated At-Will by the Board of Supervisors, in accordance with the provisions provided under Article 6, Section 601E (2) of the County Management Resolution and serves at the pleasure of the Agency/Department Head.


This class has been deemed eligible for the Performance Recognition Plan as set forth under Article 3, Section 311 of the County Management Resolution.

Program eligibility requires employees to be in a leadership position, manage other employees or programs, and have significant influence on the achievement of organizational objectives.

First 5 Riverside County, the Riverside County Children & Families Commission, is a department of the County of Riverside.

The Commission is funded by tobacco taxes generated by Proposition 10 (California Children and Families Act), which passed in November 1998.

The act created a system of programs that promote, support, and improve the early development of children from the prenatal stage to five years of age.
