The
District Office of River Forest, IL, Department of Building and Housing Inspection, Lower Monument Protection Authority is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team with the following reference number: 4201/42801/015.

This is a full-time, permanent position with 39.40 hours per week (part-time employment is possible).


Your responsibilities will include:

As a building inspector, you will perform the following tasks:

  • Conducting inspections of approved construction projects and identifying unauthorized construction projects
  • Identifying hazards to public order and safety, as well as violations
  • Onsite review of reported defects
  • Assisting with the implementation of administrative enforcement measures
  • Assisting with the recording and management of building files

You have
:


  • Completed training as a statecertified technician (in a suitable field, e.g. construction)
  • Experience in assessing building structures
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in building
