The municipal utility company Stadtentwaesserung Pforzheim (ESP) is responsible for wastewater collection, treatment and rainwater management in Pforzheim.

To fulfill these tasks, we employ skilled workers (m/f/d) in the fields of environmental technology, chemical laboratory, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering at our wastewater treatment plant.

The apprenticeship provides a good insight into the work of a wastewater treatment plant and the special structures for rainwater treatment.


APPRENTICESHIP AND JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assembling and wiring of electrical, measuring, control and regulation equipment
  • Mounting and installation of control, regulation and signaling devices
  • Measuring non-electrical quantities and testing the function of programmable controllers
  • Testing the individual and overall function of safety and protection functions of electrical systems
  • Commissioning of equipment and systems for energy distribution, control, signaling and measurement, as well as electrical machines and actuators
  • Maintenance of equipment and systems for energy technology

Municipal utility company Stadtentwaesserung Pforzheim, Department of Operations/Wastewater Treatment Plant


APPRENTICESHIP STRUCTURE

  • Practical training (mechanical and electrical) at the wastewater treatment plant
  • Attendance at vocational school in Pforzheim
  • Examination for skilled worker at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Nordschwarzwald
