Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries.

You will assist in providing treatments and exercises to improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent further injury.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques and use of assistive devices
Monitor and track patient progress during therapy sessions
Provide handson therapy including therapeutic exercises, massages, and stretches
Document patient's progress and communicate effectively with the physical therapist
Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and billing

Qualifications and Skills:

Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
Certification or licensure as a physical therapy assistant
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
