Wilson College is currently accepting applications for the position of Financial Aid System Manager (FASM).

Reporting to the Director of Student Financial Aid & Services, the Financial Aid System Manager will provide management of financial aid technology systems, data integration processes, reporting, and day-to-day support of office operations related to the administration of various technologies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Serve as the functional area lead and liaison to Information Technology related to financial aid and communication modules in Ellucian Colleague.
Collaborate with staff in other functional areas/offices to ensure effective data integration and system processing.
Lead and coordinate the annual set-up and testing of the Colleague financial aid module.
Identifying and implementing new system features in collaboration with Information Technology, Ellucian, and other support providers.
Responsible for creating, updating, and managing forms, automated electronic communications (Communications Management), and text messaging (Signal Vine).
Collaborate with Slate CRM manager regarding Colleague/Slate data integrations.
Provide end user training regarding system functionality and changes.
Manage financial aid and student financial services content on the university's website in coordination with Marketing & Communications division.
Participate in relevant committee meetings.
Monitor all federal policies impacting Title IV programs and student account receivables
Leverage technology to assist in the development of internal compliance testing standards for the department.
Provide front-office assistance during high volume periods.
Other duties as required by Director

Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs (Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and knowledge of Excel preferred)

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

Full-time, 12-month position
Variable hours dependent on the needs of the department
Some work during evenings and weekends will be required.

TRAVEL:

Limited local travel as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Associate or Bachelor degree in business, information technology or related field preferred and/or an equivalent combination of education and/or technology experience.
Knowledge and/or experience with financial aid or other financial technology systems.
Experience using MS Word, Excel, and/or other database applications.
Knowledge of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and/or other student financial aid process preferred.

Preference given to candidates with:

Knowledge and experience with Ellucian Colleague or Banner systems.
Knowledge and experience with financial aid regulations.

An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
