Northrop Grumman is seeking a
Supply Chain Planning Specialist / Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist who is experienced in supply chain management and is a motivated self-starter to support the Tactical Fighters Business Unit for proposals.


This can be filled as a Band 2 or Band 3 position and will be in Linthicum, MD. This role is hybrid with a requirement to come into the office as needed.

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support proposals for Global Supply Chain.
  • Lead and execute global supply chain efforts to ensure on time delivery of the Consolidated Bill of Material (CBOM).
  • Collaborate with the proposal, pricing, engineering, and estimating teams to ensure accuracy of material CBOMs.
  • Ensure compliance protocols are maintained.
  • Review Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and confirm requirements are met for material BOEs.
  • Monitor and address supplier capacity and/or production issues.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks as they pertain to material requirements.
  • Maintain strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fastpaced development environment that consists of leadingedge technology suppliers and nontraditional supply base.

Basic Qualifications for Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 2:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of supply chain, business management, finance and/or business experience or a Master's Degree and 1+ years of supply chain, business management, finance and/or business experience (e.g. cost account management, supplier financial reporting/forecasting and supplier/program/product scheduling). [7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of BS degree]
  • U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications for Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 2:

  • Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.
  • Background with proposal experience within Global Supply Chain.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and program management
  • SAP experience
  • Ability to be agile and work in a fastpaced environment

Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 3:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 6+ years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field OR Master's degree and minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field (Will consider 10 years of applied experience in lieu of degree)
  • Ability to be agile and work in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment while also being able to work independently with limited oversight
  • Demonstrate success in managing complex problems and driving solutions related to program execution
  • U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 3:

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning
  • Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.
  • Background with proposal experience within Global Supply Chain
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and program management
  • SAP experience
  • Ability to be agile and work in a fastpaced environment

Salary Range:
$68,800 - $103,200


Salary Range 2:
$84,600 - $127,000
