Snapshot of Your Day at Monticello
As a project manager for HVDC Control & Protection Hardware, you will work in a team of HVDC project management and technical specialists to design and deliver complete HVDC control and protection solutions for grid connections of wind farms and interconnectors, utilizing transient network analysis. You will report to the Sub-PM HVDC C&P and the CP organization, and must deliver technical work packages in accordance with project and business objectives.
How You Can Make an Impact
  • Responsibility for the preparation of proposals and project execution for the hardware of control and protection systems for high-voltage direct current transmission systems (HVDC) in terms of deadlines, costs, and quality
  • Technical leadership of the C&P hardware proposal/order processing team and close coordination with project management and subject matter experts from various hardware engineering areas
  • Responsibility for planning, monitoring, and controlling proposal/order processing, including technical conceptualization, scope definition, deadline/resource planning, cost estimation, cost calculation, quality control, as well as management of opportunities and risks
  • Responsibility for awarding subcontracts, as well as reporting, information management, auditing, order completion, and conducting process and design reviews
What You Bring
  • A successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, or a comparable field
